The Youth Leaders Council (YLC) is the governing powerhouse of Youth4Water Plus. Comprising selected young leaders, this is not just an advisory group—it is where decisions get made, campaigns get built, and policies get shaped. Members don’t just participate; they lead content development and drive on-ground execution.

YLC 1.0 (2023)

The inaugural YLC cohort brought together dynamic young changemakers who drove real impact through hands-on event coordination, innovative fundraising initiatives, and powerful social media campaigns. These pioneers laid the foundation for youth-led governance within Youth4Water Plus.

YLC 2.0 (2024)

Building on this success, the second cohort expanded its reach by introducing specialized verticals in design, research, and policy. Selected members commit to a transformative 1-year term, receiving expert mentorship and professional certification while contributing to strategic decision-making

YLC in Action

YLC serves as both a platform for youth governance and an engine for campaign strategy. Members play vital roles across Youth4Water Plus initiatives, including the Odisha Conference of Youth (OCOY), the MERAKI innovation program, and the Knowledge Hub. With 25+ engaged members across two cohorts, the YLC has established itself as a proven institutional pathway for meaningful youth leadership in climate action.
