The Youth4Water Plus Campaign is a youth-led initiative was launched in 2019 in Odisha. It focuses on engaging young people in activities related to water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), and climate change. The campaign works in collaboration with the Government of Odisha, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and corporate partners. With support from over 40 partner organizations, it has reached more than 500,000 young people through media reach. These efforts aim to empower youth on WASH and climate change and environment sustainability.
Youth4Water Plus is dedicated to
transforming young individuals into Climate and WASH Change Makers. Through our
interactive Climate and WASH Guardian training modules, entrepreneurship
assistance, innovation challenges, and youth-led awareness campaigns, we
inspire young people to take meaningful action in their communities.
The campaign has actively
participated in several prestigious global forums, including the UN Water
Conference, Local Conference of Youth (LCOY), Regional Conference of Youth
(RCOY), FAO Conference, COP 28 in 2023 and COP in 2024 in Azerbaijan. These
platforms have strengthened our commitment to advocating for sustainable water
management, sanitation, and climate resilience.
In 2024, we have entered a new and ambitious phase, aiming
to connect with youth in every district of Odisha. Our programs are designed to
be multifaceted and multisectoral, ensuring collaboration across various
sectors to maximize impact. Together, we are building a generation of young
leaders committed to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for Odisha
and beyond. Join us in making a difference.
