Youth4Water Plus is a dynamic youth-led campaign launched by UNICEF Odisha in 2019, aimed at empowering young individuals to lead initiatives in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and climate resilience across Odisha. The campaign focuses on building youth leadership, fostering community engagement, and promoting sustainable development. Through capacity-building programs, advocacy efforts, and collaborative actions, Youth4Water Plus has engaged over 500,000 youths via social media, trained numerous individuals, and aligned its objectives with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and 13 (Climate Action). Key initiatives include the Odisha Conference of Youth (OCOY), Young Climate Leaders Action Project (YCLAP), and various community-driven activities like plogging drives and environmental awareness campaigns. By prioritizing gender equity and inclusive participation, the campaign ensures that women and marginalized groups are empowered through skill-building and leadership opportunities, paving the way for a sustainable, climate-resilient Odisha.
